A Cozy Life Rooted in Faith, Family, and Everyday Beauty
Hello and Welcome to Petals and Perches
Hi there! Iโm so glad youโre here.
Petals and Perches is my cozy corner of the internetโa space where faith meets family, and everyday life is filled with warmth, creativity, and purpose.
My wonderful husband and I have three beautiful daughters, and our home is always a little busy, a little creative, and full of heart. My girls couldn’t be more different from one another, but each has various creative interests ranging from art and music to eclectic expressions in clothing choices to a passion for makeup and nail polish!
Whether you’re staying close to home, tending to a few plants, sewing something sweet, or dreaming big about your future homesteadโyou’re welcome here at Petals and Perches. We can dream together!

๐ชด What Youโll Find on the Blog
On Petals and Perches, I share my dreams of:
- Cozy home finds to create beauty and order in the everyday
- Garden ideas (indoor, outdoor, and hydroponic) for small spaces and big dreams
- Simple, soulful projects like seasonal decorating, DIYs, and free printables
- Thoughtful gift guides and product picks Iโd share with a friend
- Moments of inspiration from motherhood, mission work, and faith
Think of it as a mix of cozy living, making with a sweet purpose, and a love for the little things. Speaking of little things, don’t you love it when all the “stars align” and tiny coincidences happen? Recently, I was teaching Sunday school about Hannah praying for a son. God heard her prayer, and she named her son Samuel. (You can read this story in I Samuel chapter 1). While teaching, I received a text that my friend had just given birth to her baby, Samuel (my friend had been praying for days that this sweet baby would finally come!). These small coincidences make me smile.
Do you have any such stories–you looked at the milage just at the exact mileage at which you should change the oil, or maybe you happened to glance out just as the street lights flickered on at dusk? Let me know! I love these kinds of stories.

๐ฟ A Little About Me
I grew up in a large family that still loves to gather as often as possible (even though we are scattered from one end of the US to the other!)โand my husband and I want that heart for togetherness to live on in our own home. I love Jesus deeply and want Him to be the center of everything I do, including this Petals and Perches blog I’m sharing with you.

Some things that bring me joy:
- Sewing quilts and clothes for babies and children (see pics below)
- Singing worship with my ukulele or guitar
- Caring for houseplants and dabbling in simple hydroponics
- Tending a small garden plot and dreaming of cottage-style landscaping
- Exploring hidden nooks outdoors and imagining new paths to build
- Spending time with my husband and our shared dream (mostly mine but he is gracious) of building a home in the woods

We recently purchased 18+ acres of land, and I dream of creating a peaceful homestead: a small cottage surrounded by fruiting trees (I’ve been planting a few here and there!), a flerd (flock and herd) of animals (cows, sheep, goats, ducks, and chickens), and forest trails where wonder and worship meet. Itโs a dream in the worksโand Iโd love to share that journey with you, one Petals and Perches post at a time.
The name โPetals and Perchesโ is a reflection of what I want to share:
- Petals symbolize beauty, growth, and even flourishing
- Perches are places of rest, reflection, and peaceful homemaking
Together, they capture the essence of this blogโa place where life can bloom gently and where we make space to pause, create, and breathe deeply. I hope you enjoy reading about our little “adventures.”
